"Unlike some of my classmates and professors at law school, I don’t think I was born to be a lawyer.

I have traveled extensively and lived in Florida and California for nearly 15 years, so returning to Southern Illinois and going to law school here weren’t part of my life plan. I studied computers and technology as an undergrad and had a great job working with industry in the East Bay off San Francisco.

But, when my mom got sick, it changed my entire perspective on what was important. I now see my job helping Southern Illinois businesses and families with their estate plans as a real gift."
